Licensed Trade

The Licensing Act 2003 requires all premises that undertake licensable actovities in England and Wales to obtain a premises licence.  Where the retail sale of alcohol takes place the premises is required to have a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) who must hold a Personal Licence.

One of the criteria when applying for a Personal Licence, is that the applicant must hold a regulated qualification  – Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH)

Anyone working in a licenced premises should understand the roles of responsibilities they hold in relation to selling licenced products  and the consequences for selling to those underage.

Which course ?

The Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) meets the requirements for a regulated qualification fr trhose applying for a Personal Licence.  The qualifications is suitable for any one in a management/supervory role in a licenced premises eg Bar Supervisors/Managers/Food & Beverage Managers/Off License Retail assistants.

Underage sales qualifications give staff the knowledge of Licensing Laws in a Licensed Premises  – eg bar staff, waiting staff, shop assistants etc
