Qualifications for Food Handlers


All food business operators have a legal duty to ensure they produce  safe food for human consumption.

All food businesses must implement a documented food safety management system of which Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) is a common system used within food manufacturing environments.  Various HACCP based systems are also widely used in Catering settings such as Safer Food, Better Business, Cooksafe etc.

Qualifications are available for both Catering and Food Manufacturing

Level 2 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing (1 day)

Which course ?

Those involved in the HACCP system should recieve training appropriate to their responsibilities.  Food handlers should be aware of the hazards, control measures, monitoring and corrective actions required.

Level 2 –  Chefs, Process controllers, Line Operators, QA staff
Level 3  – Line Supervisors, Production Manager, Maintenance Supervisors, Head Chefs
Level 4  – Technical Managers/Group Catering Managers
