Food Safety

All food business operators have a legal duty to ensure they produce  safe food for human consumption.  

Achieving a food safety qualification will assist learner to obtain a knowledge and understanding of; the importance of food hygiene and food safety, associated food hazards, good hygiene practice and controls based upon an awareness of food safety management systems. 

Qualifications are available for the Catering, Food Manufacturing and Retail sectors

Which course ?

By law, food business operators must ensure that food handlers receive the appropriate supervision and training in food hygiene, which is in-line with the area they work in and will enable them to handle food in the safest way. In the UK, food handlers don’t have to hold a food hygiene certificate to prepare or sell food but many businesses choose to complete a regulated qualifications to help demonstrate knowledge and understanding.

Level 1  – Induction/Low Risk Food Handlers
Level 2 –  High Risk/Open Food Handlers
Level 3  – Supervisors/Managers
Level 4  – Managers
